F5 IT on Sage Mid-Market & XRT Day '10

In their annual event dedicated to the Medium and Large Enterprises, Sage chose Finance Resource Planning (FRP), the new Sage XRT challenges and the new ERP X3 version (v6.1) as the main themes of this edition, apart from sharing the already usual Success Cases.

F5IT, as reference partner, highlighted their presence with a stand where they received all their Customers and Friends and made known their most recent developments in several areas, including Electronic Invoicing, Routes Optimization and Management System, Management of Accounts to be Paid/ Received (Cash), the Helpdesk Management System and E-Commerce. And where all interested parties had the possibility to have a contact with Portal X3.

As for the event program, and following a welcome speech by the CEO of Sage Portugal (Jorge Santos Carneiro), the journalist, commentator and analyst, Camilo Lourenço began his speech by presenting a framework and overview of the World Economy, at a time of much turmoil in the markets and companies, and expressing his views in relation to the position of Portugal in this new economic reality.

Then spoke Christophe Vanackere, top manager of Sage International, doing a general analysis of Sage's position in the World, the global growth prospects and the multinational strategies for the coming years.  

After a coffee break where the attendees could exchange views about their experiences with the Sage software, Xavier Bastos from Sage Portugal briefly presented the new functionalities of the Sage ERP X3 latest version, where the audience got to know a wide range of the new developments performed to meet more and more the X3 user needs, and to improve the already existing tools in the software.

The following speech was made by João Correia from Saphety who presented a Case Study about the digital signatures on documents issued by X3 and the benefits that such a technology can bring, not only for the environment, but also at the bureaucratic level for the companies day-to-day. Luis Machado from ATKS also spoke by giving an overview of the Business Intelligence module and of its potentialities in the analysis of customers, suppliers, among others, by decision makers, and the help that this solution can bring on the future plans approach in each company. Finally Nuno Rodrigues from Claranet presented an overview of Claranet's position in the "Cloud" and explained this concept, which is so popular today.

In the late morning all participants were invited to enjoy a lunch where it was possible to carry out an assessment of the novelties presented, the future expectations, and where it was certainly expressed the desire to come back next year for another day of experiences exchanging and knowledge sharing between all actors in the  Sage "world".
